The Way We Lead – David Genaro

Equus Regional Director David Genaro is Working Smart and Doing Good in New York, New York. David received the Rising Star award at the 2021 Enterprise Leadership Awards.

David oversees the Small Business Services and Workforce1 Centers across the Bronx Youth Pathways Programs in the Bronx and Brooklyn, the Jobs Plus Program in Staten Island and is in charge of youth programming in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Berks County and South Central Pennsylvania. During the early stages of COVID, David Got Going! and pivoted his offices from offering in-person services to a virtual platform in under a week. During the summer months, David garnered thousands of employer commitments across NYC with Pop-Up Tent Events, securing twice as many commitments as any other provider in the city.

“During the pandemic, David diverted program resources to create and deliver food boxes for the elderly and those in need in the NYC communities he serves,” said Chief Customer Officer Bradley Williams. “He truly leads by example and lives our LEGACY standards daily.”
