Charlotte Works Welcomes Project Director Sheirly Edelhertz
Sheirly Edelhertz recently joined Charlotte Works as the new Project Director. She has been serving community-based and government organizations for nearly a decade. Sheirly received a master’s degree in Counseling, which prepared her to balance the vital relationships between job seekers, funders, and businesses effectively.
She has been recognized for developing high-quality programs ranging from youth and community development to workforce services. She was first introduced to Workforce Development in 2013 as the Director of a Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program in New York City (NYC). At the helm of a previously underperforming program, she developed and transformed it to earn an overall consistent NYC government rating of “excellent” during her tenure there.
Sheirly takes a disciplined people-forward approach when managing teams and projects. She believes this is the foundation for her ability to produce positive results consistently. She always focuses on three things: People, Process, and Progress. As the new Project Director, she is excited to use her passion for management to lead others to grow while helping them refine their processes.
